”The core interest of my work is the exploration of a spaces’ genius loci or its subconsciousness in times of digital representation. Working in site-specific sculpture, my objective is the gradual unfolding of an underlying tragedy within a dream-like setting. Referring to mythology, I attempt to excavate alternative versions of an actual site. The modular floor-sculptures (”floor stills”) consist of flat vessels, filled with water and colour. They serve as a display to a variation of liquids, solids and paint. By employing the ephemeral character of water, I seek to induce the finite nature of site-specific work into the traditional idea of display.

For PARALLEL 2019 I ripped out the office-carpet in order to uncover the raw substructure of the building. I hung the mixed-media sculptures on top of each other, in order to propose a witch tree that could emulate a new, cult-like or neo-pagan approach of finance in the former premises of the Bank Austria. ”
