A SUITCASE PROJECT

An exchange project between artists from Vienna and New York. 30 artists from Vienna are exhibiting at gallery Picture Theory in Chelsea NY. There their works will be exchanged for the works of NY artists. The 30 NYer works will be sent back to Vienna and exhibited at Kunstraum Super. The project is non-monetary, artworks will be exchanged for artworks.

Young Romans”

"Young Romans” is exploring themes of heritage, appropriation and ownership. It features tin casts if historic facades and glass fragments collected from the streets of St. Denis, Paris. Through this piece, I aim to blend the hauntological ambience of this site with its media portrayal, providing commentary on the representation of European culture.

“First Five Poems”

This  artwork features four fotograms of two flowers and a bird skull with a  bird egg, displayed from different angles. The fotograms are captured on  baryta-PE paper, a long-lasting photographic material historically used  for archival purposes. The title, “First Five Poems,” refers to Carl  Andre’s poetry collection, alluding to the subdivision of the four  individual frames, unified by the outer frame. Also, it is my first  analog photographic work I am exhibiting.
