Céline Struger's sculpture group “Goodbye Horses“, previously shown at Museums Quartier Vienna, the Synagogue (Ján Koniarek Gallery) in Trnava (Slovakia), and Neuer Platz in Klagenfurt, will now settle in its final location in Villach.

On October 5th 2024, a collective procession, orchestrated by Croatian performance artist Marko Marković will take place. The sculpture group will be moved from the display site at Rathausplatz towards its final location in the City Park in form of a ceremonial art performance.

The interactive aspect of the procession refers to Villach's tradition as a city of fairs and carnivals and plays with the visitors' willingness to join such an action. In collaboration with art club Dark City, the artists are implementing a multidisciplinary public space project involving local clubs, youth, and visitors to the city park.
Conceptually, the circle closes, as the relic, previously removed from a staged excavation site in Klagenfurt, will be returned to the earth in Villach.

The project is curated by Anna Ennemoser (Dark City) and implemented with support from City of Villach, Land Kärnten, edelholz.at, Ordination Dr. Kernjak, KUNST RAUM VILLACH, Auto-Forum-AW, Spitz-Teufelsdesign
